Aegis Carminis

Festival ‘’Aegis Carminis’’ logo

The shield on the singing face of the goddess Athena seen on the logo is cleverly coherent with the origin of the festival’s name. It is surrounded with notes, which is reminiscent of the coat-of-arms of Koper (sun with rays of sunshine). It also reminds us of a jellyfish – according to Greek mythology; goddess Athena’s shield had a jellyfish’s head on it. It can be seen on some buildings in Koper.

Design: Matej Kocjan – Koco

Matej Kocjan, AKA Koco was born in 1978 in Koper. Since 1998 he's been a serious comic book artist and illustrator, publishing 90% of his works in Stripburger alone and the rest 10% as a sellout in commercial projects. Actually he's not living out of his art work, but he manages to survive as a teacher at the Art Gymnasium in Koper. He’s been living and creating in Povir since autumn 2003, if anybody knows where this is?
